Metal Gear Solid Rising is not a sequel, it’s a side-story. It doesn’t even feature Solid Snake in it. This time, Raiden is the main character.
In the beginning, people thought it would be an Xbox 360 exclusive, but turns out that it will be out for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Konami (the company that made it) confirmed it.

  1. Metal Gear Solid: Rising is Konami’s first multiplatform video game. It will be avaible for retail on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. This segment in the Metal Gear Solid series will be a continuation of Raiden’s story after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Only time will tell what in the world Raiden is going to have to do after all the killings and completions in Metal Gear Solid 4.
    Hope this helps.

  2. Well seeing as Raiden has an eyepatch which he didn’t have in MGS4, I think it’s safe to assume that Rising is a continuation of Raiden’s story taking place after MGS4. Although with the Patriots pretty much gone, I don’t know what else there is for him to do aside from petty militarys scattered on the globe.
And no, it is not 360 exclusive. It will be on both PS3 and the 360. It was just a big deal for the 360 to get a Metal Gear game since, like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear has been on Sony primarily for the past decade.

  3. PS3, 360 & PC but like final fantasy XIV the following title will be exclusive to PS3

  4. It will be on the PS3, 360, and PC.
If anything it would be a PS3 exclusive.

  5. No. Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker for the PSP is the 5th MGS
    Release on PS3 as well
