Personally, based on what has been seen, and what many are led to believe, MGS Rising is set to take place in the future, sometime after MGS 4. With that in mind, I have a feeling Snake may have died between MGS 4 and MGS Rising.
I don’t know though, this is merely my opinion. But I truly believe that if this game is set in the future, Snake may be dead already as a result of his rapid aging.

I think that Snake will be seen, perhaps assisting Otacon and Rosemary on the Codec. He’s definitely not going to be a playable character, though. They already said that a while back.

maybe as a unlockable skin but i think snakes days on the console and finally over
